Attention Boy's Lacrosse fans! What an exciting night we had last night!! The Varsity 1 team did it again! They won 7-3 last night against third-ranked Fort Collins!! This means your V1 Warriors are 8-0 for the season, so make sure you congratulate them all when you see them today. Not only did they win against a tough team, but they did a repeat of the Cherry Creek game by shutting the opponent down in the second half. Keep it up boys! The defense gets a lot of credit for the second half shut-out, making sure the Fort Collins Unified never got close enough to the goal. Wes Gibler had another phenomenal game protecting the goal with the help of his tight defense Taylor Gunter, Davis Gunter and Joe Flemming. Way to build a wall gentlemen! Scoring for Arapahoe: Ryan "Hat Trick" Parietti; 3 Goals, Drew Babb; 1 Goal 2 Assists, Bill Mercer; 1 Goal 1 Assist, Eric Law; 1 Goal 1 Assist, Matt Pullara; 1 Goal and Kevin Law; 1 Assist. The JV Girl's Lacrosse can also add another win to their season! The JV Lady Warriors went down to the Douglas County Stadium last night and came away with an 11-3 victory! The ladies had a similar situation to the boys Varsity 1 game by having a second half shut-out too. The lady Warriors were ahead 5-3 at the half, but their defense was able to keep the DC team from scoring in the second half, while they themselves added another 6 points on the board. Congratulations on another great win ladies!! Scoring for JV Girls: Allee Day; 2 Goals 1 Assist, Aubrey Pullara; 1 Goal 1 Assist, Jordan Faessler; 2 Goals, Courtney Jones; 2 Goals, Kelly Oliver had 1 Assist and scoring 1 Goal each was: Katherine Igoe, Shelli Marr, Brittney Walker and Kelsey Gibbons. It's important to mention Matt Pullara's superior ability to always win the face off as well, excellent job Matt!! Your AHS Lacrosse Warriors take to the road on Friday to meet Douglas County on their home field. Fans, your Friday night is saved!!! Take a road-trip down I-25 and make sure the boys have a huge cheering section down at the DC stadium Friday night. Game starts at 7:00 as usual, BE THERE!
