General Announcements

Attention Warriors! This is an important announcement regarding registration and scheduling paperwork for next year’s schedule. An addendum page containing additions, changes and corrections to the 2007-2008 schedule, will be handed out in classes on Monday. You will now have until Thursday, April 26th to turn in your registration cards to your counselors. Don’t forget to get teacher’s signatures where needed before submitting your cards.

ATTENTION JUNIORS: As you know Wednesday, April 25 is the statewide ACT test. This test along with your GPA will be used by colleges and universities to assess your acceptance for 2008. Please take time to review your ACT practice test and be here by 7:15 on Wednesday. You will need number 2 lead pencils, a calculator and a photo ID. Please check room assignments posted in the cafeteria and gym hallways. Lunch will be available here, after the ACT is completed, in the cafeteria and classes for the day begin at 11:30am. Everyone here at Arapahoe wishes you the very best as you prepare for your future.

Attention future AP Science Students: You will need to come to the science office and pick up a blue application form in order to be considered for any AP Science course. This needs to be done for each AP Science course that you are applying for and the application is due by Wednesday, April 25th.

Hey AHS students, do you want to see your school's talent unmasked? Do you want to see prom royalty unveiled? Ticket sales for the prom talent show begin today, April 23. Tickets for the 5pm and the 7:30pm shows will be sold during both lunches through Thursday, April 26, for $5.00 each.

Attention all students who applied to become LINK CREW leaders. Check the bulletin board across from the Library and English Office or the LINK CREW webpage to view the 2007-2008 LINK CREW leader list. Be sure to record the important listed dates, and we sincerely thank all who applied.

Hey there Arapahoe! Have you heard of the 3 sevens? FBLA wants your help sending seven students to the two thousand seven National competitions. For the first time in seven years! Come to the Maggie Moos by Park Meadows between 5 and closing on Wednesday, April 25th, 15% of the proceeds go to our FBLA chapter. Thank-you for your support, and we will see you there.
Congratulations to sophomores Pieter Orlandini and Daniel Huh and freshmen Tom Roberts and Lane Childers. These students took 2nd place in the Algebra competition at Metro State Math Day. Nice job students

Congratulations to Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble for achieving Superior ratings at Friday’s CHSAA Large Group Music Festival! A special congratulation goes to Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble for scoring unanimous Superior ratings in sight reading and performance!! Way to go band musicians!!!
There will be a quick mandatory TSA club meeting today after school in room E10 for all members who qualified for and want to attend TSA Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee. Your commitment and deposit are due by this Friday, April 27. If you cannot make today’s meeting, YOU MUST see Mr. McMullen today to receive the paperwork packet.

Athletics

Hey Arapahoe--This afternoon your League Champion Varsity Girls Lacrosse team has a major game--they take on powerhouse Kent at 4:00 at Newton Middle School. Let's have a huge turnout to support the team at our home field. Come out, be loud, and cheer the team on. Let's do this, Warriors!!

Well the C-Team girls LAX won again. I'm just sorry to report that they creamed Boulder. The finale score was a big 15 to 1.

Friday night marked another win for Varsity 1 Boy Lacrosse. The Continental League Playoffs began with a 4-3 win over Heritage and the battle continues tonight against Regis. Fans!! We need you out there and we need your LOUD CHEERING VOICES!! Tonight's game will take place at LPS at 7:30 pm. Be there! Scoring for the Warriors on Friday night was Eric Law with a hat trick of 3 goals and Chris Carry had 1 goal and Ryan Parietti had one assist.

Attention all girls interested in playing softball next year. There will be a short meeting Thursday, April 26th right after school in room N-4.

Student Initiated Groups-

Have you ever wanted to make a piñata? In honor of upcoming 5 de mayo the Spanish club will be hosting a piñata making fiesta this Wednesday 4/25 at 2:30 in room C-21. We ask that you bring some paper mache to decorate and candy to share for the filling! This will be a two part event so make sure you come this Wednesday to start your piñatas!
