General Announcements

The after prom drink drop off begins April 27th. Please bring them into the main office. Food drop off will be Friday May 4th from 4pm to 8pm, and Saturday 9am-12pm, and 9pm to 11pm. Please take the food to the cafeteria. Please contribute lots and often. After prom tickets go on sale April 27th, for $10. each.

Hey all you spirited Warriors! This is a reminder that all paperwork for the 2007-2008 Cheer Tryouts is due in the Athletic Office no later than today. Clinics begin April 26th at 5:00 p.m. Please see Mrs. Pramenko in the main office if you have any questions!

Time is running out. Don't miss your chance! Raffle ticket sales for the "Prom Package" which includes a limo for $6 will continue through this Friday in the cafeteria during both lunches. Tickets are $3 each or 4 for $10. Good Luck!

Hey Warriors! Have you bought your shoes for Prom yet? If not, head to Off Broadway Shoes the weekend of April 20 – 22nd to earn money for AHS DECA! All you have to do is purchase shoes there and bring in your receipt to Mrs. Grantham.

IT’S HERE! The moment you’ve all been waiting for! Applications to work in the DECA store are available NOW! Stop by the DECA store or the Business office to pick up your application to work in the DECA store either in the Fall or Spring semester of next year.

Attention future AP Science Students: You will need to come to the science office and pick up a blue application form in order to be considered for any AP Science course. This needs to be done for each AP Science course that you are applying for and the application is due by April 25th.

Tickets for "The Music Man" are on sale this week in the lunch room. The show is April 18-21. Don't miss it.

Cookies for Cancer! All proceeds from cookies purchased this week in the DECA store will be donated to the Avon Foundation for Breast Cancer research. Stop by today to support a good cause!

If you were one of the artists or writers who had something published in this year’s Muse magazine, and couldn’t make it to the Showcase last week, stop by Mr. Miles’ desk in the Language Arts office to get your complimentary copy. You must do this by today. After that the remaining copies will be sold. Again, anyone published in this year’s Muse, needs to pick up their complimentary copy by Wednesday.

Important information for seniors! Applications for Business Certificates of Proficiency are now available in the Business Dept. Be sure to stop by and pick one up if you don't have a business class this semester. Applications are due April 30th and certificates will be distributed the first week of May. Don't miss out on this special recognition of all your hard work!

Are you interested in reading the bulletin over the loud speaker next year? Sign up in the Attendance Office by Friday to audition for this opportunity. See Mrs. Ayres if you have questions.

There will be a “Devouring Dogs for Darfur” event held at DeKovend Park on Sunday, April 22. Sign up in the AHS cafeteria during both lunches.

Thank you to all the participants who tried out for this year’s Prom Talent Show. Everyone exhibited great talent and enthusiasm. The following acts will be appearing in this year’s Prom Talent Show on Thursday, April 26. Everyone in the show must see Mr. Boehm or Ms. Gerlich immediately to sign a Participant Contract. Katie Grauel, Morgan White and Ryan Stitzel, Nicole Elliot and Jessie Woodland, Jimmy Neenan, Kaia Nutting, Cameron Weber, Nick Sullivan, Bobblehead Buddha, Sarah Geist and Justin Dyer. Special Appearances: Ilene Yang & Cody Scott.

Attention Arapahoe Students! Monday April 23rd Amnesty International will be hosting a film screening and a speaker on the future of Democracy in Afghanistan. The event is at 6:30 in the AHS theater and its free, so bring your parents and friends and learn something new.

OK Warriors…the competition is heating up!! Currently the pie in the face competition is being led by Mr. Hess with Mrs. Crookham in a close second. You can see a list of all the teachers who have so graciously volunteered …the two teachers with the most money in their cans will take a pie in their face at the assembly this Friday. So come check out the list during either lunch and donate any amount of money in the teacher’s name who you would like to see get pied!! You can also buy tickets to be the one to put the pie in their face.

Sophomores and juniors: Plan to attend the spring Denver College Fair. It will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the University of Denver Richie Center (located in the Gates Field House on the south side of the Richie Center). Approximately 180 colleges and universities participate. It is a great chance to meet college representatives and get lots of information.



Athletics

Hey Arapahoe--Come support the Varsity Girls Lacrosse team tonight when they take on Chaparral at 7:00 at LPS Stadium. This should be a great game. It's also Sr. Night--a time to recognize and honor the Sr. players. Let's have a big turnout to cheer on your Warriors.

The girl’s varsity tennis team defeated Highlands Ranch yesterday by a score of 7-0. The girls have improved their record to 6-2. Congratulations girls!

The Fresh/Soph girl’s soccer team continued its undefeated season with a hard fought 3-1 win over Mt. Vista on Monday and a 10-0 win over Gateway J.V. last night. They have outscored their opponents by 48-2!!!

Student Initiated Groups-

Hey Animal Lovers! Come to our meeting today after school in room W104 after school. If you are going to the NHS meeting, feel free to come late! We will be discussing the Canadian harper seals and new projects to finish up the year! There are only FOUR official meetings left this year, so be sure and get involved before the year ends!

The Remember Club asks you to buckle up and take care of one another.
